. The Garden School Tattler

This would have been posted early this morning, but the system was down.

Halloween was a wonderful occasion at school. The mood of the kids was really first rate. There was a lot of enthusiasm but not a lot of hysteria. We are always pleased with excitement.

The kids all came in in costumes. We had an adorable assortment of Tinkerbells, Heroes, monsters, a few homemade costumes like Jack's; he was someone called Link. Aidan was a cowboy, and Mayli was an angel. Wilbur was some green eye thing called Mike. All homemade.

Personally, I loved the Tinks. They were so so so in their wings. Kaylee is in the middle. She was a ballerina. We had Miss Faith as a purple fairy, and Jasmine was a beautiful blue princess along with Abby who was a pink princess.

The weather has been grand.

After a morning of fashion and pictures, a sharing time of who's who. We offered a host of compliments and questions and answers. Then we let off some steam outdoors on the west playground. It's hard keeping costumes nice all day, and pea gravel is the enemy of clean, so we kept recess to the cement. It worked pretty well, and it was a beautiful day.

Later in the day we had some crystal ball readings by Miss Judy the gypsy - more non traditionally known as - the traveling person. Sounds silly. Did you know that some of our children will grow up to have careers in lion taming, will travel the oceans, go to the moon again, marry and have 10 - 15 children. It made them laugh.

Lunch was a mild chicken soup, bread and fruit. Stomachs are so very important to protect on such a day as Halloween.

The party was wonderful. Our parents made it especially nice with all the donated goodies. The children will enjoy those goodies all week. Thank you so much.

Parents were kind enough to treats for the kids to take home, and Aidan's grandma brought the buckets - a very big thank you to her.
