The Garden School Tattler
Monday was one of those "high energy" days that come down hard on the kids and make everyone miserable. The kids just can't stay still. They poke at each other, tease, and end up fighting. It's hard to say why, it just happens. It's useless to do classroom work - they won't do it, and if they try, it ends up being a battle. So we did group projects all day.
Tuesday, in order to avoid more of the same, we got the kids out early and gave them lots of run time before it got hot. It helped. We were able to do a few "think" projects in the building after.
Today we will engage in some paperwork. We're in for a new geography game that will practice "Where in the world" as well as handwriting.
The kids are restless. The weather is suddenly warmer, and they're doing the same old things. They can't verbalize, so they fight. Perhaps it's time to start summer now!
