The Garden School Tattler

Sorry about the report card delay. They were held back on account of a visit from the insurance people, and by the time the insurance people left, it was time to do three things and that takes three teachers and then everyone went home.

Interesting who the insurance guy is - he's our founding father, Jim Gorman. Some of you know him from being a lay minister at St. Mary's Hospital. I know him from being the guy who talked two of my children into going in the service. I love Jim; he and Glenda helped us build the Garden School.

It's hard to describe the business at school these days. Trying to organize every one's life like most places that deal with very young children, and at the same time try to do a full academic day, and then on top of that offer the very best primary care we can. We are studying farms this week. The big question is what do we grow on farms. Yesterday every child was able to name at least one thing.

One of the things you should know about the Garden School is that we have accomplished the full twenty year plan being designed for United Way's big childcare project. Kelly and I went to the first meeting and there was an hour of discussion about what early childhood should be for the children in Evansville. Kelly and I were dumbfounded that what they were designing to do, we had already accomplished years ago. One of those things was interaction with parents, another was hire educated staff. One was implement a learning curriculum.

There were suggestions about nutrition, about foreign language, about parent education, and about introducing something called continuity. That means staff stay. In all the years the GS has been around, we have hired and fired ladies for ONE classroom. Mrs. St. Louis, Me, Miss Molly, Miss Anne have all been here since the beginning.

Miss Jana, who worked for Methodist Temple for eight years tells me that it's not the same other places. That we do more for our children than any place in Evansville. You CAN'T do too much for children or expose them to too much good stuff. Working with children is one thing; working with families is another.

In addition, the happy bug is one of our teaching methods. Getting involved with a child's school and staying involved is a many splendored thing. Good parents do this by thinking of the group of children their child or children are involved with. We see it all the time - parents who bring enough for the whole group. Parents who share. Hazel is one of those family members who loves the whole group.

As a parent and now a grandparent of children in the Warrick County schools for 28 years, I know that my affection for them, and their affection for me comes in not my love for JUST my child or JUST my family, but for the whole class, any class my kids were in. This kept me involved for over a quarter of a century and keeps me going with Jack's first year.

That same love and affection continues at the Garden School with "all we can do for you and your child." I hope it comes across loud and clear.

I wonder if their fear of my inarceration is borne from their refusal to address black disfavor on a macro level. The Counsel/Management Team/ruling species (the gods) abuse black people so hard, from the crack epiemic to gang membership, black-on-black violence to mass incarceration of their young, Eitheopean drought/famine to AIDS in Africa. They refuse to address the issue of the prison industrial complex and its wholesale warehousing of young black men. Perhaps I can force them with my incarceration.

You are sick or injured because you have disfavor. You need to imporove your relationship with the gods. Know your place, your inferiority and bow down mentally and physically.
Temptation takes many forms::: today the gods know how bad people want to please them, how bad they want to ascend and they will ask them to do evil things to tempt them, mislead them and cost them their chance.
Bow down and submit to good. Good woudl never ask you to circumcise your son or ignore behavioral disturbances.
You are the only one your children have and they are counting on you to do the right thing.
The gods will punish your evil by making you sick or injuring you. Consider it a clue.

They stated sheep are foreign to earth, animals bestowed upon us for caretaking.
And they don’t appreciate them being consumed.
They state sheep are very intelligent animals who know what is ocurring at the slaughterhouse as they’re being led in.
There are many favored people who consume lamb, people who could do much better if they stopped eating these treasured animals loved by so many among the ruling species.
There are clues::these jobs are very well paid, luring whites one would perceive as priveledged and hooking them once they incurr personal obligation. Only then do they find out the truth.

What does all of this mean? Who are your "gods"? I have one God and he is not a punisher but a forgiver!

I don't know what planet the blogger at the top of the page comes from..I won't be visiting anytime soon. Your scary tactics for threatening people into your believes are icky and don't have anything to do with the subject matter. In other words go peddle crazy somewhere else, we're all stocked up here!
