The Saint Lucy Commitment Award
Presented to Briaunna Cole for Great Fortitude
St. Lucy was martyred in the year 304 because she loved God first and man second. She referred to herself as the Temple of the Holy Spirit. She stood before the Governor Diocletian and told him, "I will never sin so that the Holy Spirit will never leave me." She died with bravery and honor.
The Saint Lucy Award is presented to Briaunna in recognition of the great fortitude she demonstrates daily in school. Fortitude, or inner strength, is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit alive and working with the child to understand, accomplish, and achieve what is required by her teachers, her friends, and the other adults with whom she comes in daily contact.
Briaunna demonstrates a well developed sense of order and real desire to learn both academics and socially correct behaviors. She is a pleasure to her teachers and her classmates. Congratulations.
