Drake

Saint John the Baptist Leadership Award

Presented to Drake Massey for Leadership

Saint John the Baptist, a cousin of Jesus, the son of Martha and the priest, Zachary, spent much of his adult life in the desert eating locusts and wild honey and preaching the coming of Our Lord. John The Baptist cried out, "Do penance for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand! I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make straight the way of the Lord." And at the river, when he baptized Christ, John said, "Behold the Lamb of God." Then God the Father spoke, "This is My Beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased."

The "John The Baptist Leadership Award" is presented to Drake for his ability to assume a leadership role from among his classmates in the many activities at school. He knows what work and play is about, and he endeavors to create a spirit of unity among his young peers. He is steady, careful, intelligent and devoted. Congratulations.
