Mekhi

The Saint Benedict Wisdom Award

Presented to Mekhi Acree for Understanding

Saint Benedict lived in the fifth century. The son of a noble family in Rome, he left home to live in a cave at Subiaco where he made friends with a raven who brought him food. His piety and prayer life drew many men to want to live as he did. St. Benedict began the Benedictine Order of monks at Monte Cassino. He developed a way of life called the Holy Rule by which all religious orders of sisters and brothers live. St. Benedict is known for his miracles, his wisdom, and his devotion to God and man.

The Saint Benedict Wisdom Award is presented to Mekhi in recognition of his ever developing wisdom. Because Mekhi has listened to his teachers and in turn has used what he has learned as a tool to better understand his young world and his work at hand, he demonstrates an example to his classmates.

Mekhi has stretched out his hand in order to understand what God has given him. Congratulations
