Gage

The Saint Francis of Assisi Peaceful Shepherd Award

Presented to Gage Moorman for Generous Loving Carefulness

Saint Francis of Assisi was born to wealthy parents. He quickly rejected their wealth and sought God among the poor. He could often be heard saying, "When one serves the poor, he serves Christ Himself." Francis had a way of drawing people to himself for his great holy generosity of spirit. He began the religious order known as the Franciscans. He helped his sister, Saint Claire, begin the Poor Claires, a religious order for women. Francis was mystic. He communicated with God beyond ordinary human powers. God rewarded Francis for his great love by giving him the stigmata or the marks of the cross on his hands and feet.

The Saint Francis of Assisi "Peaceful Shepherd Award" is presented to Gage his broad, generous, loving carefulness that he unceasingly extends to his fellow classmates. He tirelessly offers the other children his happy enthusiasm and undivided care with his peaceful little spirit.

Gage demonstrates a particular developed sense of joy about being in the world. His love of people, his friendliness and generosity is a Christian element that often goes beyond the world of adults. Congratulations.
